Everybody struggles with removing unwanted hair. That’s why laser hair removal is one of the fastest growing non-evasive cosmetic procedures in the country. But, there are a lot of questions about how it works, the treatments needed, the price, the lasers and the results. Here’s a quick FAQ list;
How does it work?
The human body has stem cells that create hair in the follicle. Laser hair removal targets those cells through gentle pulses of energy which pass through the skin and are attracted to the pigment in your follicle.
Am I a candidate?
Most likely – Laser hair removal treatments are safe and effective on all areas of the body and all types of skin. However, white hair, bright red hair and very light blonde hair do not typically attract the laser.
What sort of laser do you use?
At LightRx, we use a variety of lasers specifically selected to accommodate your needs. There are a variety of factors that determine which laser is correct for you, and whatever your needs may be, Premier Laser Spa has the solution for you.What’s it cost?
Since each person is different, be it their skin type, density of hair follicle, etc., so is the pricing. Our process starts with a completely complimentary consultation where we administer a microscopic hair follicle and skin analysis where we magnify the follicle upwards of 50x. This allows us to better ascertain the treatment type needed to provide a no-obligation quote based on the body area. But, we have affordable plans to make sure your treatment work for you.
How old do I have to be?
We don’t treat children under the age of 13 as they’re still going through physical and biological changes. Any child under the age of 18 needs to be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
Does it hurt?
While pain is subjective, people typically compare the feeling to at worst to a rubber band snapping against your skin. Compared to waxing as an alternate, laser hair removal has very little discomfort.
What risks are associated with laser hair removal?
As with any medical-type procedure, we have an informed consent that details any possible risk. That said, there is very little inherent risk with laser hair removal. It’s anywhere from a 15- to 45-minute procedure, with zero recovery time.
